Surrender

By Christine

I bring to you my treasured chest
Which lies beneith a troubled breast
And withing i know you'll find
All that haunts this heart of mine

It's packed full of good intentions
Broken promises too many to mention
Doubts and fears
Unshed tears
Trials, tribulations
and fantastic facinations

And now I bring this chest to you
For not only are you tried but true
You waited e'er so patiently
For me to give my will and just be
Even that seems a struggle today
Despite my being able to see the way
My eyes did drift only to find
Earthly terrors and ties that bind

But in your out-stretched hands, I place
My treasued chest, and bring my eyes to your face
in your glow I stand unclothed
For my fears have been disrobed
Now at peac, I am renewed
Forgetting I was comming unglued
Remembering I'm a child of God
Merely walkiing the earth Jesus trod.
