New Channel 4 documentary project about Family Therapy

Producer / Director, Kira Phillips, wrote to us asking for help with the following new documentary project.

Kira writes, "Dear Parent,

My name is Kira Phillips and I'm working on a Channel 4 documentary project about Family Therapy. I have a background in making films about family life for both the BBC and Channel 4. I'm also a mother of a child with Autism and this project came about through my own involvement with a Family Therapy service. I'm passionate about making a thoughtful and positive film on the subject, which will hopefully help demystify the Therapy process and bring it to a wider audience.

As part of my research for this project, I'd really like to speak to London parents who are looking for support to help their family move forward. At this stage, I'd really appreciate a confidential and informal chat about your experiences, since it will really help me make a film that is well-informed, honest and hopefully helpful! There'll be absolutely no obligation to take part in the documentary itself. Any family that decided they did want to get involved further down the line and we go on to work with will be offered a full course of Family Therapy with a leading Therapist in London.

If you would like to find out more about this project, you can contact assistant producer Ayesha on 020 7067 2463, or me directly on 07976 414689 / email. We'd be happy to give you more details over the phone or over a cup of tea if you'd prefer to meet us in person.

Thanks ever so much for you for your time - we really appreciate it.

Kira Phillips
Producer / Director"
