UK Government Provide Cash For New National Alliance Of ADD/ADHD Support Groups

Harry Marsh, Senior Director of Contact a Family (CaF), explains: "The Department of Health have agreed to give CaF a three year grant so that we can act as the "umbrella body" for The Alliance--and this should save a lot of time consuming and expensive legal work. The Trustees of CaF will take financial and legal responsibility provided we report to them regularly and keep within our budget. It has taken rather a long time for our application to be processed but I am assuming from the award of this grant that the Department and therefore the Government recognises that ADD/ADHD is a very serious issue."

adders.org understands from CaF that all UK Support Groups who are registered with them will be hearing in due course as to what the next move is. If you are involved in a UK support group which CaF are not aware of then you can contact them direct at 0171 3801 261.
