It's Bang Your Head Against A Brick Wall Time Again!!

An ongoing recent fight with an Education Authority over the schooling of an ADHD child has once again highlighted the extreme difficulties faced each year by many families in similar situations.

Summerhill School

Kent lad, Tertius Wharton, was getting on fantastically well at a school that he really liked. Quite understandably, his parents sought funding for this successful placement at the well respected Summerhill School in Suffolk, at a cost of £10,000 per annum. So what do the financially strapped Education Authority decide to do? Well, insist that Tertius go to another school at a cost of £50,000, of course. It makes so much sense doesn't it???

So there's all the upheaval for poor Tertius and his family, not to mention the added cost of all the reports necessary etc., etc. So again, quite understandably, the Wharton's are making a stand.

We all know that Education Authorities, like everyone else, make mistakes but do they have to keep making the same mistakes over and over and over again.
