The aim of this research is to understand How information technology can be used to encourage children diagnosed with ADHD to be more positive towards learning? This project deals with the learning issues of ADHD children and young adults, so we need to elicit the views and opinions of the children themselves, as well as those of parents, teachers and carers. We are interested in what and how children like to learn, and their views on the learning process. At this early stage in the research project we are seeking participants to contribute to our understanding of the factors that motivate and interest children with diagnosed ADHD (ADD, Hyperactive, and Impulsive and Language Impairment types).
Could you spare about 30 minutes to chat with us about your experiences of learning? Children up to the age of 18 who have been diagnosed with ADHD are of particular interest for our study, but anyone else who can offer insight on the issue of learning attitudes is welcome. What will happen to the result of the study? The results will be used for a university doctorate thesis and also will be submitted for publication to an academic journal. Participants will receive an overall summary of the final study and results.
