Citizenship & Community
by Tom Hall & Howard Williamson

The two title words are becoming increasingly used across all spectrums of life, according to politicians we all need to work to increase a sense of community and increase citizenship among those communities in which we live. So much so it is now part of the duty of schools to teach citizenship to pupils.

This book produced by the National Youth Agency looks at the meaning of the words and how to make them more accessible and understandable.

It looks at social, structural and policy issues and how to work with young people on this topic.

Essential reading to find out some of the main fundamentals behind this policy of promoting citizenship and community. This can be used as a first hand guide, where to start and where and how to find out more.
