Innovations in Parenting Support

This is the evaluation of a YMCA initiative "parenting teenagers".

Looking at the aims of the study which was undertaken during 1997 - 2,000 to set up projects based in YMCA centres to provide help and support for parent of teenagers.

It was considered that there was a considerable lack of support for parents the teens compared to that of younger children, the benefit of providing information to parents along with help and support and how this can be of benefit young people. This and other issues were the inspiration for this report.

The report is by full and comprehensive assessment of the study and is of interest all parents and carers of teenagers and all those interested in helping support families and teams with problems.
