ADHD: Hunter in a Farmer's World Videotape
by Thom Hartmann

Filmed at the ADDA 1999 annual convention, this presentation outlines Hartmann's groundbreaking "Hunter in a Farmer's World" metaphor to describe ADHD, as well as Thom's "What Maslow Overlooked" hypothesis about Thalamic gain as a neurobiological explanation for ADHD that gives us numerous insights into how to recreate schools, relationships, and the workplace to work for children and adults with ADHD. 1.5 hours of VHS videotape

I really enjoyed watching this video. It is a tape of Thom speaking at the ADDA 1999 Conference in the US about his view of ADHD. Thoms' personality and humour come out over and over again and make the video one, which is enjoyable to watch. It really reminded me of the talk Thom gave for our local community a few years ago which made everyone take a more positive look at ADHD and its impact on the lives of those diagnosed with the condition. Thom really makes us feel worthwhile members of the community and explains the Hunter / Farmer theory of ADHD in an easy to understand way.

Well worth watching on your own or in a group.
