Working with Children in Need: Case Studies in Complexity and Challenge
By Eric Sainsbury

Working with Children in Need

Based on the work of students in the Advanced Social Work Course at Goldsmiths College, University of London, this book looks at how social workers can approach cases of children at risk and in need of protection.

This book looks at how social workers see their role and their work, reactions and feeling they feel when talking to children and parents along with ways they can respond to this and consider the views and concerns of the child and parents.

Illustrating much needed skills when working directly with children and assessing their needs.

With the use of case studies this book stimulates discussion and problems solving and encourages social workers to learn from others experiences.
