Dejan Sotirov President of The Rainbow Warriors NGO Slovenia writes: "We are ETERNIA / ADHD a non-governmental organization from Slovenia, also known as Mavrični Bojevniki (Rainbow Warriors) established in 2013. We work for the best benefit of people with ADHD. We strongly believe that our objectives bring us together, because our path is our objective.
Eternia is the largest non-governmental organization in Slovenia that treats people with ADHD. The organization has been operating for 6 years and unites various professionals who are working with ADHD diagnosed people all over Slovenia.
Our specialties are activities for children and young people with ADHD based on experiential pedagogy in nature. In the summer time, we organize a 4-week camp, attended by more than 100 children with ADHD and 60 volunteers.
Furthermore, we organize various outdoor activities (ADHD bush craft) during weekends and different workshops for kindergarten, primary and secondary school children and teachers.
Throughout the year, we carry out lectures and seminars for teachers and professional public on the topic of awareness-raising of ADHD issues.
Moreover, we organize conferences on the state level on ADHD for professional and lay public (parents).
Besides support and consulting for families of children with ADHD, we also provide support groups for parents.
We participate with the Faculty of Medicine and Education from Ljubljana, educating students and volunteers for working with ADHD diagnosed people.
The Rainbow Warriors organization is a member of a strategic group in the State Council, that regulates the field of ADHD of children, which is not yet fully categorized in our country. In Slovenia children who might be diagnosed with ADHD, are still considered to be only badly-behaved.
The operating of our organisation is recognised by media; we appear in all major TV, radio and internet media within Slovenia."
